Hiya! Long time no talk!
Hope everyone's doing good. College students are starting to go back to school. I just had to say goodbye to a couple of my friends :(
Luckily, I don't go back until the end of the month! WOO!
Tomorrow will be my first day as an usher in a Broadway theater! I'm really excited. I'll be working at RENT. Freaking awesome way to start!
I've been doing a lot of thinking about my future and what I want out of life and it's all becoming quite clear to me now. I've always had the goal of becoming a teacher for early childhood until this past semester when I started reevaluating everything. I think that I was always so focused on becoming a teacher because I would always play school when I was younger and I just always saw myself doing that.. I never really thought about it.
Then I realized that that's not really my passion in life. I've always loved entertainment. Music, singing, dancing, acting.. all of it. I've always had a creative mind that was different than everyone else. I saw things differently. That's my real passion in life. The arts. I've realized that I want to be involved in show business. That will make me extremely happy and fulfilled with life.
So my goal is to become a casting director. I'll be interning at some theaters and at casting agencies in the next year and I'm so excited to grow with this process. I will also eventually get into acting, but I want to focus on something to be my backup plan if that never works out. My main goal is to do casting for Broadway, but film and TV will work just fine for me.
I think it's important for people to really think about where they want to be in life and what they want to do. I always say to myself that I don't want to wake up twenty years later feeling unfulfilled and with regrets about what I did with my life. Whatever your true passion is.. you can make it happen.
So that's just some advice I have for all of you. Do what makes you most happy in life. Not what others want you to do or what you think is easiest or will make you the most money. Do what you love. Simple as that.
And even if you're not sure yet.. don't sweat it. You don't have to figure it out right away. Life's not that easy!
You've got plenty of time to figure it out.
So whatever it is that you want out of life.. I hope you achieve it! Believe in yourself and know that I believe in you too.
Feel free to leave any questions/ comments/ suggestions in the 'Comments' box or in my Tumblr ask box!
Have a great rest of the week! I'll let you know how RENT goes!

Express Yourself
Helloooo!!
Hows everyone doing? Its been a busy couple of days with a bunch of great news!! We're only 11 days into the new year and 2012 is already looking bright :)
I've got some great news! I'm excited to share that next week I will be working at the Broadway theater where RENT plays. I've been wanting to see RENT for years now and I'm excited that I will finally be seeing it while working at the same time!
I'm really excited I'll be working at the theater and hopefully this will last very long because it gives me perfect experience in the behind the scenes world of Broadway theater! I also plan on interning at an agency or casting company in the near future for even more experience. It's the perfect thing to do because I plan to become a Casting Director in my future. :)
I'm glad I've finally got these things planned out! I feel like I'm back on track.
I'm also in the process of moving and looking for a new place. I'm really excited for that as well! I'll probably be renting since there's only two of us, but this is super exciting!
I've been listening to A LOT of different types of music lately. Music is so important to me. It feeds my soul.
Music is one of the best ways to express yourself. I think the arts in general are the best way to express yourself. Whether it be singing, dancing, playing an instrument, acting, drawing, panting, making movies.. anything at all!
I write a lot of different things. Poetry, songs, short stories.. any idea that pops into my head. I also do a lot of singing and dancing. It's important to keep your creative juices flowing. I couldn't imagine a life without the arts.
This is a pretty long post. I think I'll end it here to save myself from more rambling.
How do you guys keep your creative juices flowing? Do you do anything that you'd love to share?

Lemon Brisk and Risk
Hey guys!! Happy Friday :)
Hope everyone had a good week. I'm just relaxing on the couch drinking a Brisk lemon iced tea. Happiness.
Just some updates! I found out that I passed all of my classes from my last semester. Super excited about that! And my GPA even went up! Hard work does get you somewhere, people.
I still haven't heard anything about my secret project. Wish me luck!!
I've been feeling pretty down lately. I'm back into the state of mind where I'm very worried about the future. It's all kind of up in the air for me right about now. I'm taking it one day at a time. Giving myself a pep talk every day. "Everything will be okay. You can be what you want. You will live your dreams." I guess I have some doubts about myself because I don't have a very good support system. I don't think people believe in my dream. Everyone just sort of shrugs off what I say, but I'm serious about what I want.
So.. that's some advice I have for all of you. Be your own support system. I've learned that. I'm doing it for myself. ALWAYS believe in yourself.. even when you feel like your dreams are impossible to achieve. Nothing is impossible if you have the will to do it. Never take your passion lightly. If you have a passion for someone.. give it everything you can. Don't ever let that passion die out. You have that passion for a reason.
Is this rambling? Am I just going on about my own thoughts? It's hard to express everything that's going through your mind. I think that's one of the hardest things for we as people to do. To get everything from your brain.. onto paper. (Or in this case.. text of any kind).
I feel like this may be getting a little long. I think I'm going to write a post about creativity and expressing yourself next week! Stay tuned for that one. I have a lot of great ideas!
So.. in conclusion.. always be your biggest fan. You know what you're capable of. ;)
And I leave you with a silly question that I've been asking people all day: What's your favorite word?
Leave your answer to that question and any thoughts of your own in the Comments box below!
Stay tuned! Till next week!

Taking Chances
Hello all! Happy new year!
I hope you all had a lovely holiday season. I hope New Years Eve was good to you! It certainly was good to me. I had an amazing night filled with amazing people.
As a part of my new year, I'm looking forward to embracing and cherishing so many more things. The term "don't sweat the small stuff" will come into effect! I'm hoping that I can be more relaxed and feel comfortable taking more chances.
I've made a step in the right direction in regards to my future. I won't say anything yet because nothing is confirmed, but it's something new and exciting that I really look forward to. I hope to work in the entertainment industry in the future. Ideally, I'd like to be acting, writing, directing, performing, etc.. but I'd also love to be in an agency, management, PR company, a critic.. all that jazz! I took a step to get my foot in the door. Sometimes you have to work from the ground up! I'll keep ya posted on how it goes with my secret mission! :)
I hope you all are doing well on your resolutions so far! Stay motivated and positive. You can do absolutely anything you put your mind to.
It's been a stressful few days. Hopefully, after tomorrow I'll be able to relax and continue to enjoy my vacation. A month off is definitely needed. It's a mental health vacay!
So I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week and feel free to leave any comments, questions or suggestions below! I'm off to do a nice workout! I'll be updating you guys soon!
I look forward to hearing from you.. don't be shy!
